solution
Overview
eHomes.com, Inc. is the world's leading online real estate services provider,
committed to providing its clients
with comprehensive, efficient and personalized services. eHomes.com was
founded to provide buyers, sellers
and homeowners with a single source for neighborhood profiles, school
information, home valuation tools, loan products, calculators, real estate
information and the service they need.
By integrating leading-edge technology with real estate know how, eHomes.com
is able to offer clients extensive, higher quality services at significant
savings, as well as an extensive network of related service providers.
A considerable portion of the company's transactions, advertising and
marketing is automated via the Internet.
With corporate headquarters located in Orange County, California, eHomes.com
is now poised to expand into selected metropolitan areas.
Key Issues
eHomes.com real estate agents work from the field or home office and send
and receive up to hundreds of faxes
a day. In the past, faxing was a real problem: faxes were getting misplaced
or lost, agents had to come into the office to pick up documents, or documents
were being re-faxed and became illegible. eHomes.com was also spending
several thousand dollars a month on paper and toner consumption, plus
the cost of maintaining dedicated phone lines for fax.
Previously, eHomes.com was using a network fax solution for DID (Direct
Inward Dialing) routing to each real estate agent, enabling them with
print-to-fax functions. Twelve voice lines, three out-bound analog phone
lines
and four DID (in-bound trunks) with 100 DID numbers were being utilized.
The ACCPAC Messenger/Venali Solution
ACCPAC Messenger with Venali Internet Fax service replaced traditional
fax machines and paper-based selling transactions by eliminating the need
for telecom DID lines, fax boards, and analog phone lines for faxing,
all of which saves money. Another clear cut advantage for eHomes.com was
the ability to obtain IP fax numbers in outlying regions and area codes
where eHomes.com does not have a physical office. This offers eHomes.com
customers and contacts the ability to send faxes free of charge to agents
using a Venali local number - ultimately improving customer satisfaction.
ACCPAC Messenger also provides voice messaging, enabling users to receive
both fax and voice messages into a common inbox that is conveniently accessible
via email or any touch tone phone. Using the ACCPAC Messenger auto forward
feature, faxes are routed to both the realtor and transaction coordinator
for immediate processing. By sending fax documents as email attachments,
agents can send and receive faxes anywhere they can access the Internet.
An electronic copy of the transaction can be archived and stored for future
retrieval.
By moving from a network fax solution to the ACCPAC Messenger server-based
solution, eHomes.com was able to cut costs, increase productivity and
benefit from improved communications features such as internet fax capabilities,
voice messaging, and wireless text messaging.
ACCPAC Messenger supports Fax-over-IP,
which eliminates fax hardware, phone lines and saves on fax messaging
costs.
