Junk
Fax Blocking Patent Awarded to Venali Internet Fax Services
– Unwanted Stock Tips, Toner Deals, Mortgage
Rates and Other Junk Faxes Eliminated With Exclusive Technology
Coral Gables, FL (April 16, 2007)
-- Mortgage quotes, stock tips, vacation deals, and other
unsolicited junk faxes could be a thing of the past for the
clients of Internet Fax Services provider Venali, Inc. The
company announced today that it has received a patent for
its Junk Fax Filter technology (U.S. Patent No. 7,184,160
B2) that detects and eliminates unsolicited faxes with virtually
100% accuracy.
Incoming fax transmissions are processed using Venali's proprietary
technology to compare incoming faxes to characteristics of
reported junk faxes. The accuracy of the system is based
on the analysis of millions of faxes and the system continues
to improve itself each day as it processes thousands of faxes
for Venali's corporate clients.
Junk faxes are a nuisance that can degrade productivity,
block important faxes from coming through, and cost millions
of dollars annually in wasted paper and toner. The most common
are printer ink or toner offers, stock scams, and travel
pitches. "We are excited to be to be awarded a patent
for our exclusive Junk Fax Filter technology," said
Venali CEO, John Poncy.
Despite the passage of the Telephone Consumer Protection
Act (TCPA) in 1991 and the Junk Fax Prevention Act of 2005,
unsolicited junk faxes are still too prevalent. Some competitors
in this space continue to offer fax blasting services to
their customers, which can facilitate the distribution
of junk faxes, while pretending to fight them at the same
time.
Venali is the only organization with a patented technology
to protect its customers from junk faxes and refuses to
allow junk fax blasts on its network.
The Venali Junk Fax Filter is currently available to customers
as a component of Venali's Internet Fax Service. Venali is
also examining licensing the patent to interested parties.
Venali has numerous patents and patent awards pending.
“Venali works tirelessly everyday
to develop technologies that help corporations become more
productive, lower costs,
and improve their communications. The fight against unsolicited
faxing is another example of our commitment to mission
critical communications," said Venali CEO, John Poncy.
