venali fax protector
terminates junk faxes - forever
Integration with Microsoft® Office
2003 Provides Unmatched Convenience and Efficiency
MIAMI, FL. (August 14, 2003) - Junk faxes
have met their match. Tonight at the Metreon Sony Entertainment Center
in San Francisco, Venali, Inc. will unveil the Venali Fax Protector -
a sophisticated technology that accomplishes what many believed improbable
- detection and elimination of unsolicited faxes with virtually 100% accuracy.
The patent-pending Venali Fax Protector is a component of Venali's Internet
Fax service. Incoming fax transmissions are processed using Venali's proprietary
technology - developed by analyzing over three million
junk faxes - to identify and remove likely junk faxes.
"Junk fax is becoming more than just a nuisance; it's a serious problem
impacting both profits and productivity," said Ronald Gruia, analyst
firm Frost & Sullivan's Program Leader for Enterprise Communications
Solutions. "Fax over IP technology lends itself perfectly to combating
junk faxes. Therefore, I'm very pleased to see that Venali, one of the
leading FoIP providers, is taking an innovative step to develop and offer
a solution to tackle this issue".
Receiving junk fax - like email spam - is a growing problem. Venali estimates
that one of three faxes sent each day
are unsolicited; the most common are printer ink or toner offers, cell
phone sales, stock scams and travel pitches.
"Junk fax is even worse than spam in many ways," said Ralph
Musgrove, Vice President of Market Development for
Venali. "If you are using a traditional fax machine, not only are
junk faxes annoying and distracting, but they can cost money for paper
and ink, prevent legitimate faxes from getting through by tying up fax
machines and result
in wasted time. We're very excited to finally bring an end to this intrusion
for Venali Internet Fax customers".
Besides the new Fax Protector feature, other benefits of Venali Internet
Fax include lower costs, increased efficiency, ease-of-use (send and receive
faxes from any desktop computer or even a PDA or mobile phone with email
access), and enhanced security and reliability.
Venali Fax Protector is available beginning
today - at no extra charge - to every Venali customer. In addition, Venali's
IP Fax service will be seamlessly integrated into Microsoft® Office
2003 - currently available in Beta form. Venali faxes can be sent directly
from all Microsoft Office applications to any fax number worldwide, and
faxes
can be received into a Microsoft Outlook 2003 inbox as an email attachment.
