How do I send a fax using Venali Internet Fax?
Sending a fax with Venali is as easy as sending an email. Simply create a new message in your favorite email application, attach the document(s) you wish to fax, add a fax number in the “To:” field, and click “Send.” Its that simple. Your fax will arrive within minutes and a fax confirmation message will arrive in your inbox confirming the fax was sent.
How do I receive faxes using Venali?
Simply provide your new Venali Fax number to customers, colleagues, friends or family. When a fax is sent to your number, it will arrive in your email inbox as an attachment (either PDF or TIFF). Open the attachment and the fax will appear in the appropriate application. Faxes can be accessed immediately, or saved for future reference, printing or forwarding.
What types of files can I send as faxes?
Venali supports most popular file formats incuding: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat PDF, Plain text, TIFF, Postscript, RTF, PCX,GIF, BMP, JPG, WMF, DCX, ASCII Files, PCN, HTML and more.
Can I send a fax to multiple recipients?
Yes, simply add fax addresses in the “CC” field as you would a regular email.
Please note: In the interest of preventing the distribution unsolicited fax, Venali maintains a strict policy against unsolicited faxing. Violation of this policy may result in termination of service.
Can I use my current fax number?
When you sign up for Venali service you will be provided with a brand new toll free or local fax number.
Do I need to turn my computer on to receive faxes?
No. All messages are stored in your email waiting for you to retrieve them whenever you want.
Can there be multiple recipients (email addresses) assigned to one fax number?
Yes, faxes to a single number can be sent to multiple users or even a list of users. Ideally, this is done from a distribution list on the company’s mail server.
How do I know my fax was delivered?
You will receive a confirmation report via email that lists all delivery information for each fax. Venali will automatically retry sending your fax. If for some reason your fax was not delivered, Venali will provide error code in the status message explaining why (ex: busy number, line disconnected, etc). You can also check delivery status of your faxes from our online Account Management Center.
How secure is the Venali network?
The Venali network is protected through firewalls on packet and application levels. Documents within the Venali network are protected with a symmetric cipher for privacy and confidentiality. Transmissions over the public Internet to our remote location are protected using VPN technology. Upload/download of documents is protected using TLS for email or SSL when using HTTP. As a result, the complete transmission is much more secure than PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) security.
