| Sending
Faxes |
|
You can send faxes from
most Office 2003 applications by simply
going to the File menu, selecting
Send to and then Recipient
using Internet Fax Service. This will
bring up a special fax send screen in Microsoft
Outlook

This Outlook
send screen allows you to select a coversheet
and address your fax. You can select entries
from your Outlook Address book and send a
single fax to multiple recipients. Microsoft
Outlook 2003 already provides ready to use
cover sheets and you can also create your
own in MS Word.
In addition to regular Office files, you can
also attach other document files for faxing
such as PDF files. If you attach a PDF file,
Outlook will warn you that your service provider
might not be able to send that file. Venali
does support PDF and a variety of other file
formats which you can attach to any fax you
choose to send.
After delivery of your faxes, you will receive
a fax confirmation in your e-mail inbox. |

If you have subscribed to
a Venali inbound number, you will receive
faxes sent to this number as an e-mail in
your Microsoft Outlook 2003 client.

| To open a fax for further processing,
simply double-click on the thumbnail image
of the fax which will open the Microsoft Office
Document Imaging Viewer where you can easily
print, annotate or forward your fax. You can
also convert your received fax into editable
text by using the OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
feature in your Microsoft Office Fax viewer
and copy that text into any application such
as Microsoft Word or Microsoft Publisher. |
